Getting Artificial Turf and Custom Putting Greens on the Central Coast

Using fertilisers, weed sprays and constant watering doesn’t always work. The bad soil underneath is usually the problem. If you want an outdoor space without the hassle, synthetic grass is a great option. A1 Synthetic Grass & Soil can help you set up artificial turf on the Central Coast. This way, you’ll have a mud-free yard that doesn’t need mowing and will save you money on water bills.

Why Quality Synthetic Grass is Great for Central Coast Yards

Quality synthetic grass can handle kids playing, backyard cricket and the hot sun much better than natural grass. Installing synthetic turf solves the main problems homeowners face with their lawns:

  • It stays green all the time
  • It doesn’t need mowing
  • It can handle heavy foot traffic
  • It saves you money on water and lawn care

Turf is a great solution for a low-maintenance yard. Synthetic grass is perfect for the Central Coast climate. Quality synthetic grass is a great investment for your yard.

  • No Mud and Less Yard Work

You can finally scrap the weekend mowing and edge trimming. Synthetic turf gives you your Saturdays back and completely stops kids and dogs from tracking wet mud through the house after a typical coastal downpour.

  • Proper Drainage and Built to Last

With a porous backing layer, water drains straight through the turf instead of pooling into big puddles on your lawn. The fibres are UV-stabilised so they will not fade, crack, or fall apart under the harsh Australian sun.

  • Safe for Kids and Pets

The turf is completely non-toxic and safe for dogs and children to play on. Dog urine drains right away, and you can easily hose down any mess without worrying about lingering smells or dead, yellow patches of grass.

  • Designing Your Dream Backyard Putting Green

For anyone looking to lower their handicap, a backyard putting green means you can practise your short game at home instead of driving out to the local golf club.

  • True Ball Roll and Real Speeds

The specialised putting turf uses short, dense, texturised fibres. This mimics the exact ball speed and true roll you get on a championship golf course green.

  • Custom Slopes and Breaks

The base under the turf can be shaped with custom undulations, breaks, and multiple cups, giving you a proper, challenging practice layout in the backyard.

  • Fringe Grass for Chipping Practice

Running a longer, plush landscape turf around the edge of the green lets you practice chipping out of the rough from different angles.

How the Installation Process Works

To get a lawn or a golf green to stay flat for years without sinking, you need to do a lot of hard work to get it ready.

First the old yard needs to be dug out. This means the team has to remove the lawn, weeds and soft topsoil to a certain depth so they can build a strong base.

Next they spread out a layer of crushed rock or road-base aggregate. This layer is made to help water run off. It is packed down really hard with a big machine that makes sure the ground does not sink later.

Then the turf is laid down. The turf rolls are unrolled, cut to fit around the garden edges and stuck together with glue and tape that can be used outside. After that fine sand is brushed into the grass to keep it down and make the blades stand up.

You need to be careful, with the base preparation. If you do not do the digging right or use dirt instead of a strong rock base your synthetic lawn will be all wrinkled and saggy. It will even hold water when it rains a lot.
